Smooshy Leather Sandwich

I’m back to being vegetarian after a brief flirtation with carnivorism, but that doesn’t mean I’m to abstain from the pleasures of leather goods; I’m not quite vegan after all.  There is one delicious sandwich, made of the finest deer, that I so crave—artfully crafted by the talented leather chefs at Bottega Veneta.

the Bottega Veneta Cervo Informale bag in two different multicolor configurations

The texture of the washed deerskin, as well as the multi-gusseted construction, highlighted by layers of Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato weave in multiple colors, make it perfect for carrying in the contrived-chic way fashion folks seem to favor these days: portfolio-style.  I loved it the moment I saw it in the catalog, and I know I’d love it more in my hands, in front of my mirror.

I prefer the bag in varying shades of blacks and browns: gentle, weathered, and easy on the eyes.

I’m off to the boutique to try it out myself.  If you find yourself in New York City, look for Simone, she will take care of you!

In the pinks and yellows, it would be a great summer bag for a girl like me!

I also struggle with balancing my love of leather goods with a love of animals. I think I draw the line at calves skin. The leather on this bag looks amazing though.

I’ve just discovered your blog and I really like it so I’m going to start following you on Twitter.
